Alexandra began her work/study in a print shop where she developed marketing and organizational skills. As an inter-office department coordinator she improved her corporate level office and computer skills and participated in department head meetings. Mrs. Jones worked as an independent contractor where she learned all of the facets of Vacuum Doctor. (I.E. repair, customer service, direct sales, carpet cleaning, bidding and floor service.) During those four years she acquired a vast knowledge of all carpet and floor equipment on the market both new and out of production. In 1989 the partnership began. All accounting skills and legal reporting were self-taught, with good guidance from CPA's and hired book keepers. This partnership became a corporation by the recommendation of a CPA and a Franchise Consultant.
John Paul started his career in direct sales as an independent book merchant. He also spent several years as an account representative with National Life Insurance where he was promoted to supervisor. It was in this position that John Paul developed the skills of hiring and managing employees. Mr. Jones then ventured out on his own. He created a business of mobile vacuum repair and on-site service to hotels. The business grew into four retail outlets, six mobile units and a direct sales line and staff. After twenty years, John Paul sold the entire company and retired.
